Bonefish Grill...no bone to pick, get it?

Last Saturday night  I ventured out of the burg and headed out to Cordova to meet my in-laws for dinner at Bonefish Grill. It was very crowded, but with a reservation we got seated pretty quickly. I ordered Kendall Jackson Chardonnay,my of my favoritite wines. I checked out what people across the aisle were eating and ordered the pecan encrusted trout with a sort of mixed vegetable saute (included edamame beans, not my cup of tea, or peas so to speak) and pumpkin ravioli, witch was to die for and I highly recommend it (come on live a little!) The trout had a crunchy crust, was very tasty and also had a very buttery sauce over it, definately Yummy! As a suprise the manager brought out a lovely presented cookie in a gold box for my husband's birthday. .Altogether it was a great evening and the food was delicious. You bet it's cuisine!

Grisanti's...a classic Italian Memphis Restaurant

Recently I visited Grisanti's, an old favorite in East Memphis in the Embassy Suites. In this cozy atmosphere, many first dates have taken place. In this relativly moderate priced restaurant you can be assured of classic Italian food such as the Elfo Special, consisting of spaghetti tossed in butter with sauteed mushrooms.Veal is always on the menu and well prepared with creamed spinach on the side. All dishes are consistantly "yummy" and are certainly "cuisine".When you add a  glass of wine and perhaps dessert the tab will approach $ 100.00. But considering this is great  food in a romantic setting, especially at holiday time when it is decorated beautifully,it is always a hit when you want to "score". Oh ,yes it's "cuisine," for sure. There is Cuisine...Bosco's Squared

Well, believe it or not, there is cuisine in Memphis after all. I live in the suburbs of Memphis and my chief complaint every weekend is there is no fine food in Memphis, let alone "cuisine". All this involves some whining and indecision on my part, when trying to select a restaurant on Friday night. This past Saturday there was more whining going on, when my husband suggested Bosco's in Overton Square. We got seated relatively fast. The selection of wines by the glass were plentiful and service was prompt. I ordered the Nori Tuna with Jasmine Rice and sauteed vegetables. The tuna inside was rare with the crust outside cooked to the perfection. YUM! to say the least. The vegetables were sauteed and well seasoned . For dessert we shared strawberry cake, which appeared to be made on the premise. All this made for a delightful evening, so, no whining til next Friday. Boscos Squared on Urbanspoon
